Looking for more ways to get your child connected and involved?

We welcome you to come check out our Children's Ministry Programming on Sunday mornings.  We're so excited to have your child with us!  First stop is our Children’s Ministry Welcome and Check-in Center.  During the Sunday morning service, love and care are provided for babies through 6th grade.

Children Ministries

Each Sunday elementary-aged children are grouped together with other boys and girls around the same age, and meet together with the same “Group Leaders”. This is a great chance for them to build relationships with other children that are facing the same types of situations in their lives.  During this time, their “Group Leader” leads them in fun games, activities, discussions and of course the Bible story.  All of the activities provide support for the same Bible point and lessons and work well together to develop a month long theme.  This small group takes place in Room 202 and begins immediately following the Main worship service (11am -12pm) every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month which is Family Sunday.

At Trinity,  all of our children are important, and we take their safety very seriously.  In order to help us care for your children, it is important for you to visit the check-in center located in the north-east corner of the lobby before you send them to class.  If you are a regular attendee, your child's information will be easily accessible in our system. If your child is new to us, our check-in team will help you through the easy sign-in process and will create a name tag for your child, as well as answer any questions you might have.  It is important to notify us of any allergies or medical conditions so we can care for your child in the best possible way.  After the service, the portion of the name tag given to you when you signed in your children must be redeemed in order to pick them up after class.

Leadership and Growth

Something exciting that God has been working into the horizon of THRIVE Student Ministries this fall is  starting Student led action Groups.

What are they?

Student initiated leader encouraged interest based ways that students can find opportunities to reach out to their world with the love of Christ. Below are some examples of THRIVE’S planned action groups:

Art – Teaching art classes to local kids free of charge, sprucing up the youth room to make it welcoming to all who attend.

Sports – Organizing God centered sporting events & creating a schedule of THRIVE Students sports schedule.

Music- Worship team involvement & creating a schedule of THRIVE students music performance schedule.

Hospitality – Greeting and making sure new students feel welcome at THRIVE Nights

Why Action Groups?

In Matthew 28:16-20, we see Jesus’ last command was to go into all the world and share the wonderful, powerful truth of the gospel to turn the world upside down for good! “all authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go..!”   One amazing thing is that Jesus doesn’t address just pastors or limit the command (it’s not just a suggestion) to those who are older than 20 years old.  He is addressing followers.  This includes all age groups!  I’d like to see our youth take ownership of the great commission by using their God given skills to bless the world that they live in instead of just having them think that God’s expectations them is to just show up to youth nights.

How did we get here and how do we get there?

Action Groups are something that I have wanted to see for a while but a few things needed to take place first.

1st we needed to have a group of students who were ready to go outside of their comfort zone and the four walls of the church.  God has given us just that.  These guys and girls are primed and pumped!

2nd we needed to gear some teaching and training towards growth and leadership.  We now have that in form of a Sunday School class that meets every Sunday at 9:30am.  We have some amazing future leaders being reached in this class.

3rd we need the vision to organize and leaders to facilitate this.  I can’t say enough about the amazing creative ideas God has been giving my leaders and we are excited about how God is going to provide all the needs we have to accomplish His will!

Please pray for this initiative as we THRIVE for Christ at Trinity at The Eastern Gate!!

YOUTH NIGHT: Wednesdays at 6:30pm!

Our MISSION is best described in the verses below which are really Jesus' final words to His followers everywhere, including us: Matthew 28:18-20

"Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
